The editing of Digg

Have you ever wondered how particular stories end up on Digg where there are just as many equally as good stories that do not and how some stories appear one minute and disappear the next?

Well its all down to the Digg human editors or as one of the co-founders Kevin Rose likes to call them moderators. But does this not go against the whole ethos of Digg where we were lead to believe this is a site where the votes of the users count!

Although at the same time there really has to be a need for some sort of policing, otherwise Digg would become just another directory filled with content that is not suitable or no good at all to anyone.
