Windows has security issues

As we all know there are holes in most operating systems but what we probably were not aware of was the extent of the problem that effects Microsoft products and to be more precise Windows 2000, now I know it old etc, but this OS is still second most widely used and so therefore when researchers at the University of Haifa find a loophole, then its serious.

The problem is that anything that is typed and sent, so we are talking about email, passwords, usernames, financial details etc can be tracked and therefore this information can then be copied and used by the bad guys.

The loophole is within the random number generator, which is used for the encryption of email and while using the SSL encryption protocol on secured internet pages. Microsoft has been made aware of this problem and will no doubt be plugging the hole very soon!
