The end of the PC?

It seems that in Japan the PC is no longer the established leader in the way that the Japanese wish to communicate or do anything in actual fact, they have become so obsessed on making things mobile and preferably hand sized that the PC is in danger of being completely left off of the consumers shopping lists for ever more.

Could this be the first time in the past twenty five years since home computing became viable that the PC is no longer gaining a foothold, with sales in the decline it could have serious effects on the overall costs as it is volume that keeps the prices low, if this volume fell then surely the prices would increase and thus further the decline of the PC.
