Happy birthday to the computer virus

Believe it or not it is the birthday of the computer virus, and it is 25 years old, yes thatâ€™s right. And anothe surprise is the first computer to be infected by the virus was the Apple II; the virus went by the name of Elk Cloner and was spread by floppy disks. Obviously there was not much known about viruses then, or how to clear your system of them.

There has been a huge side business come out from the virus industry the likes of Norton, McAfee and Symantec would be in existence if it was not for the virus, all those years ago.
