Dell launches computer recycling

For businesses that have less than ten pieces of equipment, it has not really been worth them recycling them, in fact the unused equipment would normally end up in a cupboard or down the tip. But there are some issues with computer equipment that has been used for business, which is data recovery!

It makes no difference if you delete every file on the hard drive, as there will always be a trace of something left, and should the hard drive fall into the wrong hands then this data is compromised.

Dell have introduced a service where for just $25 (£13) they will dispose of any unwanted equipment and provide a detailed statement of how the system was cleaned and recycled.
