Is conficker sleeping still?

Its seems that although the conficker or downadup worm has not made the surprise attack as suspected by security experts.

Although those who have been monitoring the network have seen some activity from it.

So far, the activity has been that infected computers have been instructed to visit web addresses were it would get new instructions.

It seems that consumers are probably the least likely to be at risk as they regular run virus software and have protection. It seems that government, education and other large organisations are the one at risk as they have a lot of openings.

The hype around the 1st April thing has probably done a lot to help computer users protect their equipment from the threat, so that may not have been a bad thing.
