Is a rebrand for Live coming?

There has been a lot of talk or rather whispers about the Microsoft search engine Live; this has come about through the use of Twitter the micro blogging site that has recently been getting a surge in traffic and publicity.

It turns out that a Microsoft executive has been testing the new search facility and according to the posts on Twitter the user experience and the system itself appears to be working nicely.

The problem for Microsoft is that they are not going to be able to get anywhere near Google, so why bother trying to compete with them, what would be better is for a new type of search engine, but are even Microsoft brave enough to come up with something different.
