Mac cloner wins legal battle

Psystar Corp has been given the go ahead from a federal judge to continue with its countersuit against the computer maker Apple.

In fact, it looks as if the judge has agreed that should Psystar be able to prove its antitrust allegations against Apple they may be able to sell their product with the Mac OS X already installed.

The case centres around the copyright laws, when Apple started the case against Psystar saying that they had broken copyright and software licensing laws.

But now it seems the tide has turned against Apple with Psystar claiming that they have tried to stretch copyright laws by tying the Mac operating system up with their hardware.

There will be plenty of ducking and diving until the case actually goes to court on the 9th November this year.
