Mac to get Skype 2.8

Mac users will be getting first look at the Skype 2.8, which features integrated Wi-Fi hot spot connector and screen sharing facilities. Not only that user will be able to use the applications voice, chat and video services all at the same time.

Screen sharing has uses for both business and individual users as this will help the sharing of content, but being able to search and find Wi-Fi hotspots is very useful too, although the majority of these do cost money to access the service.

Could this bring new life into Skype which is something that they really need right now, or is this just an application that will go unused because consumers still prefer to use their own applications and services.
