RAM upgrade makes MacBook unstable

There is nothing like a brand new shiny aluminium cased MacBook, unless you are planning to upgrade the RAM, then you could be running into all sorts of problems because the computer is not too keen on more RAM.

It is all down to a third party upgrade, if this is done some users are reporting system instability and even lock ups. These problems are even occurring after the upgrade has been done by an Apple specialist.

The only solution would appear to either leave it alone or use only Apple branded RAM, although this is only available in the US according to the Apple Store.

Anyone who completes an upgrade using the proper RAM are reporting no problems at all, but because of the limited supply this is of little help for those users who are outside of the US at the moment.
