Apple starts its own University
For the many employees of Apple, they would already know that there are facilities where they can continue to learn new skills, but it seems now, that Apple is to become even more closely associated with the educational system.
Apple have just hired Joel Podolny who was head of the Yale School of Management and also worked at Harvard Business School too, he will now be taking on the role of being in charge of the Apple University programme.
It is not apparent exactly what role the university is going to pay within Apple, but it can be assumed that it will follow the path that other large organisations such as Pixar and of course McDonalds.
These in house universities serve a good purpose within a working environment helping the firm to keep their employees working, while they can expand their qualifications.
