Microsoft likes the Apple store

Apple technology could again become the core of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer in the future, the technology used in the Apple Store direct to the customer software.

This comes right from the top, Steve Ballmer the newly installed chief executive of Microsoft left it slip that he found that the webkit used in Apple’s Safari and more recently the browser released by Google, Chrome very interesting and that they may be looking into it at a later date.

But more than just talking about the technology, it is believed that Microsoft are interested in following Apple in providing a digital software distribution solution in the same way that Apple has with their Apple Store, which implies that they too could be distributing their products through this format in the future.
