Astronauts to use e-vote

In the UK, the government have just decided not to allow the voters to use e-voting for the 2009 local and European elections; maybe they should be taking a look at what is happening in the US election.

They have taken e-voting to a new level by allowing the astronauts based on the international space station to cast their votes from space, in fact they are around two hundred and twenty miles above the earth and travelling at around eighteen thousand mile an hour.

NASA’s Johnson Space Centre will route a secure e-ballot from the Harris and Brazoria County Clerk’s office, an email will be sent to the space station, then an email from each of the astronauts will be sent back to earth and routed on the clerk’s office.
