Technology keeping families in touch

With new technology comes the fear that it will replace something that we hold dear to our lives like family. We often hear that kids spend hours up in their bedrooms, whereas it was not that long ago when they used to take over the TV.

Yet it has been found through by Pew Internet that despite the current reliance on mobile technology, computers and games consoles, families are harnessing the abilities of these devices to stay in touch with each other.

This is probably because we are a global economy, which has meant that families are sometimes separated by thousands of miles. However, because of new technology they are able to easily stay in touch with each other, instead of in the past when they relied on the odd phone call or letter.
