Finding lost computers

The one big fear for laptop owners is the simple fact that they can be picked by anyone and taken away, this is especially serious when it comes to computers, which have sensitive or personal information stored on the hard drive.

However, there is a free piece of software called Adeona that can harmlessly work in the background, while the user carries on as normal but should the laptop be stolen, then this small piece of software will help the police track down the computer and possibly the thieves too.

Adeona works by keeping track of where it is working from, every now and then the software will wake up and record data from the computer which is then stored on a Open DHT network, this is where the information comes in useful, the files could be used by the police to track down the computer.
