Landfills loaded with precious metals

There is being said about landfills and how they are affecting the planets climate. However, could these be a source of wealth for future generations? Well some people think so, take Japan for example, it has been estimated that they have some serious levels of resources just in the country’s landfill sites.

This is because for years people and businesses have been dumping electrical equipment, this applies to mainly computers and mobile phones, as these been dumped into landfill, the waste products have rotted away leaving high levels of old tech equipment.

It is believed that if Japan were able to mine and refine their landfills, they would be producing enough gold, silver and platinum to put them in the top fur producing countries.

So maybe today’s landfills are tomorrow’s gold mines!
