The end of the paperback is nigh

Digital has put the death sentence on many things that we have grown up, in most cases, it has to said, that this has been for the better. However, one such digital device could spell the end of the paperback book, which is one of those items that really should be allowed to stick around.

This week will see the launch of the Sony Reader by the High St bookseller Waterstones and of course Sony, with a price tag of around £200.

This device may seem to be just a digital book reader, but in reality, it is much more than that for the Sony Reader has enough memory to store up to a hundred and sixty novels, probably much more than the average home has in paperbacks.
