Groups worried about internet in the air

Religious groups are concerned that since the announcement from mobile broadband operator GoGo that they have agreements with several US based airlines to install their wireless network into the aircraft could mean unregulated access to porn sites.

Focus on the Family, are starting a campaign to try to prevent this from happening because they fear that some users will be looking at unsuitable content, while all around them on the plane will be families with children.

However if someone was that inclined, they would not need the internet to access such content; they could already have it on their computer or other handheld device.

So it should be down to the general public and the flight crew to ensure that this sort of thing does not happen, which is probably does, otherwise there would be many cases of people seeing their the phones, Mp4 players and laptops being confiscated.
