A million 3G iPhones sold

It Apple around seventy five day to sell a million original iPhones last year, with the latest 3G model this figure was achieved in only three days. This has to be by anybodies standards a massive achievement and just goes to show the excellent PR job that the first iPhone had done.

Although it has to be said that last year Apple did phase the launch, by giving the iPhone to the American market first.

However, this new launch was done in a slightly different manner as the 3G iPhone was simultaneously in twenty countries including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK.

It is expected that around eleven million iPhones will be sold by the end of the year!
