Researchers looking for an 11 year old email

Some strange research is being carried out by a research team at the Cornell University in the US, they are looking into the emails of the past, and there is one particular email which they are interested in and would like to ask internet users if they have a copy of a certain email.

Problem is, this is an email which was sent out during 1997, yes it one of the early ones! To make things even more difficult is happens to be a piece of spam too, so the chances of any one still having it in their inbox is pretty remote.

The idea behind the research is to follow the pattern, these emails are spread like a virus and should still be in circulation, it is this that the researchers of interested in following and it would be cool to track them to see exactly how they have got.
