The US lags behind in broadband subscribers
The US may be one of the top markets for IT and everything that surrounds it, they have Microsoft, Dell, Google and so on, but there is one segment of the market where the States falls behind, in fact they are falling well behind on the uptake of broadband.
The table looks like this:
South Korea
Japan
Finland
Netherlands
France
Sweden
Denmark
Iceland
Norway
Switzerland
Canada
Australia
UK
Luxembourg
USA
But as normal this is not a true picture, the US are not behind in technology, it is just that some countries have larger cities where there technology can be rolled out cheaply and quickly, its all a matter of geography.
