US Air Force wants access to all computers

The US Air Force are looking to either buy or build a suite of tools that will enable them to gain access to computers, they are not talking about any old computer though, they mean all computers everywhere, including yours!

In order to achieve their goals they have created an organisation which will become known as Cyberspace Command, this is a collaboration of the Dept of Homeland Security, DARPA, the Air Force and other agencies. With funding of $30 billion in place for the next five years, this is a real attempt to control the internet.

To start things off, the Air Force Research Laboratory has invested $11 million in new hardware and software. These will be put to work o the Dominant Cyber Offensive Engagement. This is the slow approach to bringing down any threats that be out there, rather than a moving in with all guns or in this case laptops blazing.
