Gmail the number one spam resource

The problem with email is spam, well actually its spammers. But with all of security features that have been installed on our computers and what the email hosting companies have put into their systems, why does spam keep getting through?

It is a question of where it comes from. Gmail as it comes from Google is one of the most trusted sources on the internet and as a result an email that originates from Gmail has more chance of getting through, which is a problem for some people.

In a report from the Information Security Research Team (INSERT) they claim that Gmail is open to an attack where thousands of emails can be sent. In fact there are flaws which allow the spammer to send unlimited amounts of spam.

The problem with being a great system is that not everyone plays by the rules.
