FBI going after the zombies

Over a million computer owners are going to be getting a knock on the door soon from the FBI, but there is need for them to worry, although their computer may be a zombie machine working for someone else and could even be used to commit crimes.

As part of Operation Bot Roast, the FBI has identified over a million computers that are part of the network. These are being used to spread SPAM, steal users ID’s and attack websites which are then used to recruit even more zombie machines.

It is easy to become a victim of the zombie masters, it can happen through an email attachment or by visiting a website that has infected pages. The signs that a computer is infected are, running slowly, getting emails saying that you are Spamming and an email outbox full of messages that you have not sent.
