Laptop files searched at US border

The US border is becoming even more tighter than it was before, and it was tight enough. But it seems that they are not happy with just search the people going into the country, as they now want to check out what people have in their laptops.

However this is not entirely restricted to laptops as they can and will check through your mobile phone and even your digital camera, but is this to do with the fight against terrorism or something else? The later would seem to be true.

But the burning question is what happens when your computer or anything else is protected by a password? Do they demand it? Or just use their skills and expensive software to break the passwords? It is an interesting development but we all know the answer, don’t we?
