Gardening or computing
For some parents it is a full time job just getting the kids off of the computer these days, for what ever the reason, be it home work, surfing or talking to their friends, some kids just stay glued to their seats and are rarely seen coming out of their rooms apart from when there is food on offer.
But there could a great way of getting the kids to get out and take up a healthier hobby, according to the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) gardening is the key to getting those computer addicted kids off the internet and outside in the sunshine.
Over three thousand schools have become involved in the RHS National Campaign for School Gardening; they get lots of free equipment which includes: A starter pack with seeds, soil-testing kit, posters and plant labels.
But this could easily be done at home too, imagine the kids with their own little part of the garden, instead of sitting around in their rooms.
