Turning an iTouch into a iPhone

There is no doubt that the iPhone is a great device, but in order to get one you are going to be looking at either large initial outlay or a large monthly payment on a contract. But on the other scale is the iTouch, which is very similar to the iPhone except it does not make any phone calls, or maybe it can!

With some relatively easy additions the iTouch can be converted into an iPhone, below is a list of the equipment that will needed in order for this transformation to take place?

What You’ll Need

1.) A jail broken iPod touch or iPhone.
2.) A Touchmod mic.
3.) The freeware SIP-VoIP application

With some various tweaking the iTouch can now be fairly easily altered into something that resembles its bigger brother the iPhone. However you will not be able to as many calls as you would on the iPhone, but if you only plan to make the occasional call, then this would work for you.
