Computer replaces Prozac

There cannot be many things worse than having to take Prozac only to find that doctors feel that it is no use at all, if the patient wasn’t depressed before, they would certainly be so now. So for people who have been taking this drug thinking that it may be making them better or at least keeping things under control, where do they go now?

Luckily there is an alternative remedy that could be available if the patient is lucky enough to live near a practitioner the treatment or therapy as it like to go by is “Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)” or as it is also known as “Talking Therapy” but as good as it may sound there are waiting list for this treatment.

Fortunately there is a little known way of getting this treatment and in most cases the patient will even have to leave their homes. This treatment is available via computer, as strange and as simple as this may sound, it can be very effective and obviously very cost effective way of treating depression. The City University in London made a study of this treatment and it was found that three out of five patients were cured in only eight weeks.
