Staples charge £200 for computer repair

Taking your computer to big name store for a simple diagnostic can seriously damage your computer and if that happens your wealth too.

Take this example of a elderly man who took his Gateway PC along to Staples, when this diagnostic was finished, the person behind the counter told the man that his computer wouldn’t turn on and therefore would need some little extras to get the thing buzzing again. It turns out that they tried to sell him, a tune up, diagnostic, virus removal and more RAM totalling at around £200.

But when a total stranger said that they would look at it checked inside the computer he found that the DRAM had been fiddled with and was not connected properly, once this had been fixed the computer was okay.

So taking your computer to big name store should be done with caution and you should be prepared to be sold as much stuff as they can get away with.
