The innovative company Apple have been quick to announce that their online music store iTunes has moved into second place as the in the music retailers league table. They are now above Best Buy and below the superstore giant Wal-Mart.

In this announcement the company said that they now have over fifty million iTunes registered customers who have over the years purchased over four billion tunes through the site. One of their best days was Christmas day 2007, where there were over twenty million songs bought through the iTunes site.

This trend is just set to rise, as the they bring in more and more items onto the site which expands the choice that existing customers have and brings new customers on board as they too feel that iTunes has something that they would want to use.
