Social networking can come back to haunt you

It’s a sign of the times that many people have one or more accounts on a social networking site; some people put the basic details, while other go completely over the top and it is these people who could be putting their futures at risk, because frank and open comments tend to have the boomerang effect.

Because this letting off of steam has become a way that other people such as employers, investigators and even insurers can check up on you, quite legally and without having to employ any under hand tactics.

Many people have come under from the entries that they have added to their personal page on My Space, Face Book, and BeBo etc. This is just the tip of the iceberg, because those stories and confessions are all being monitored should you apply for a new job, talk about other people and make claims that cannot be substantiated etc.
