Gangs recruiting via social networking

Social networking sites are the haven for young people, some even feel that age is very important there and older should not be allowed, which is why this could become a dangerous place for young people be visiting.

For the average person these sites are used to make friends, share music etc, but there seems to be a more sinister growth in gang culture, where music and images are used to entertain users, but as they get deeper into it they leave themselves open to all sorts of pressure.

Gangs are increasingly using these sites to influence and finally recruit young people, this is a dangerous trend and by using a social networking site, young people could find themselves getting deeply involved into things that they do not really understand or believe in.
